I realise that the functionality to create shortcusts to files in Google Drive is relatively recent (in the last year or so).
But having that as an option for the wiki would be so much better.
I do NOT really want to move (or even worse, copy) all my files into the Wiki folder. It destroys existing folder structures.
Now that we can create shortcuts, that seems to me to be the best option.
It would also need the option to remove the shortcuts from the wiki for tidying reasons.
Cheers
Seems like a duplicate of #273
This is a great idea, I think this should be before the “make a copy” or “import by …” options on the menu, and be called: “Create a shortcut”.
Just adding a +1 – we’d like to have most documents listed in a few places to match our overlapping categorization, and that currently works with Drive’s shortcuts but breaks in YNAW. Impedes our functionality and prevents us from fully moving over, at the moment.
@Grant Kiely awesome, I know you’re trying to not build new things while you update – google’s just changing out from under you! haha
