So far in my use of YNAW, the left-hand nav automatically expands all folders by default, making it challenging to scan visually. It would be nice if we could choose to have top-level nav items display as collapsed by default (except for the tree containing the current page).
I’ll just clarify that this means that the left hand nav parents are always closed, regardless of if you’ve opened it before. Unless you are loading a sub page.
I’ll include this in the rewrite.
Yes, this change would provide an option to begin YNAW sessions with all parent items in the left-hand nav closed, except the nav tree containing the active item (i.e. if arriving at a deeper page, not the wiki root). For example, if the user arrived via a deep link to a particular document, that deep-linked document’s nav tree parents would be open, with the rest of the nav parent items collapsed.
This may be a duplicate of #242
Even if there was a button at the top which collapsed everything, that could be useful.
